Students have math homework Monday through Thursday nights. Homework should take no more 15-20 minutes. Homework is essential because it allows your child to practice what was learned in class. If your child does not understand the assignment or it is taking more than 30 minutes to complete homework, please contact me. Homework counts 5% of your child's grade. Your child keeps track of his or her homework grade on a recording sheet in his or her binder. Each week I record a weekly homework average in my gradebook.
In addition to an actual homework assignment, if your child does not know the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts through the 12s, extra time needs to be spent practicing and memorizing the facts.
