Welcome To Interactive Spreadsheets |
|
| The interactive spreadsheet is a great way to create electronic drill and practice worksheets and assessments that are aligned to local, state, and national objectives and standards. These spreadsheets can be designed so students receive immediate feedback while engaging in extra practice on a skill or concept. The same spreadsheet can be modified to assess the student's learning at the end of a unit. The interactive spreadsheets will be computer graded! The teacher can record the grade right from the monitor as the student is working or have the student print the completed worksheet for recording. | |
| Interactive spreadsheets are limited in their applications. Unfortunately, the spreadsheet does not differentiate between upper and lower case letters, so creating spreadsheets for proper noun applications would not be appropriate unless you created a multiple choice format. The spreadsheet is set up to check for exact student entered responses so one or two word responses are preferred when creating questions. Again, writing multiple choice questions is a good way to work around this limitation. | |
| The following interactive spreadsheets have been created by elementary teachers at Sarah Moore Greene Magnet Technology Academy, a high school math teacher at Austin-East Magnet High School, and University of Tennessee ITES 486 students who are enrolled in teacher education programs. These teachers have given permission for you to download the spreadsheets for use in your classroom. If you have interactive spreadsheets you have created and would like to have added to this site, please send them to Allison Watkinson. | |
